Sarah Allen
Chef de Cuisine
Sarah Allen's lifelong love of visual arts led her to the culinary world in 2001, when she took a job with chef Marc Lepine at the Courtyard Restaurant in Ottawa. With no formal training, but a strong love of cooking, she enrolled in, and successfully completed Algonquin College's culinary apprenticeship program. In 2006, Sarah was selected as one of ten young chefs in Ontario to compete in the CCFCC/Knorr Culinary Challenge. Sarah then successfully obtained her red seal certification, and accepted a chef's position at Bartlett Lodge in Algonquin Park. In 2008, Sarah spent some time working with Wylie Dufresne at WD-50 in New York City, before returning to Ottawa to join forces with Marc once again as chef de cuisine at Atelier.
